The Three Vioras Hit the Road!! Part V: Griffith Park

We decided to break up the trip a bit with a stop at LA's Griffith Park.  I had always heard what a charming place it is and once I heard there was a train we were sold!  Needless to say, we had a great time...and as an added bonus...pony rides!!
 We have arrived.
The train was very similar to our Balboa Park train at home...but that didn't hinder her excitement!

The actual ride was very cool, passing though a miniature town, over a bridge and around the stables.

When we finished on the train, Sloane went on her very first pony ride...ALL BY HERSELF!!
When the man took her our of my arms, put her on the horse and sent her on her way I can't say I didn't panic, but they've got these ponies well trained and the toddler "slow" ponies do just that, go slow...

...so slow in fact that hers actually stopped in the middle of the track for a bit.  Which allowed us to get a couple of pictures.

She was pretty smiley and intrigued all at the same time...a total success!!
And when we asked her what she thought of the pony ride her response was..."bumpy!"  Such a great way to round out a special summer trip!  We can't wait to hit the road again soon!

  1. Your first pony ride --- before the age of two --- bumpy fun!! Thanks to Mom and Dad for giving you all these wonderful experiences. Sloane, you are such an adventurer with your ready smile. It's so fun to see you observing, learning and eager to try. When's the next road trip?
