Sloane's Baptism

We rounded out the summer with Sloane's baptism.  We had Sloane baptized at First Church, in Mission Valley, the church Mommy grew up in.  It was very special being back there with our daughter and welcoming her into the community.
Sloane was very unsure about being handed over to the Pastor...but there were no tears!
Here she is being baptized...with each splash of water she said "thank you" out loud to the pastor!

Sloanie Bear Goes Baja!

When Cupka turned 70...part of his gift was a trip down to Baja (his happy place) with the fam.  It took a little while to get all the paperwork in order, so we scheduled a summer trip down to Las Gaviotas in Mexico, just south of Rosarito.  Sloane LOVED watching Daddy surf, seeing the waves, playing in the sand, swimming in the pool and walking along the ocean front path. It truly is paradise down there...and we had an amazing time!
Crossing the border!  Sloane is officially an international traveler!

We stopped for tacos and tortas at Taco Surf...yum!

As soon as we got there, Sloane sat down and watched the waves.
She absolutely loved playing in the sand and watching daddy surf.
She would point to all the surfers and yell "Daddy! Daddy!"

We took Cupka to lunch in Puerto Nuevo for his most favorite meal...lobster with rice, beans and tortillas.  It did not disappoint.

Mimi couldn't help but do a little shopping!
Sloane also could not get enough of the pool!  It is definitely her happy place!

 Toes in the sand...tiny ones.

 Just gorgeous.

 Peek-a-boo!

 Surf check with Daddy.

Sloane also had her first taste of sand in Mexico...by the shovel-full.

We had a great lunch a little further south at Splash!

Love this little beach babe...and what a travel trooper.  Can't wait to get more stamps in that passport!

Fourth of July

We made it home just in time for a little fourth of July celebrating!
We got to see our good friends, the Santamarias as well as the Fords...who had taken a little road trip of their own down to SD for the holiday.  Sloane loved the Fourth of July festivities!
Hanging with Colin at Liberty Station
Colin wasn't so excited about the hugs
Sloane was doubly excited about seeing her bestie, "Cia", as well as a swimming pool!

They had a blast swimming with their daddies.
Happy girl!  Happy 4th!
