Visit with Santa!

Wow!  What a difference a year makes!  Here is Sloane's Santa picture from 2013:
No tears...but looks a little like a deer caught in the headlights!  Here is this year's visit with Santa:
We were so proud of her for being so brave!  No tears...but definitely a little apprehensive!
She loves to tell everyone what Santa says..."HO, HO, HO!!"

Christmas 2014

We had so much fun with Sloane this Christmas....considering last Christmas she was asleep most of the time!  She loved seeing all the presents, playing with some...and then moving onto the boxes and ribbons...such is Christmas with a toddler!
We spent Christmas Eve at Daddy's fire station with Daddy and some of the other firefighter's kids.  Sloane loved following Ella all over the station!
Christmas morning...having fun on the patio at Mimi and Grandpa's while we wait for Daddy to get home from work.

Having LOTS of fun with bubbles!
 Yay!! Daddy's home!
 Time to open some presents!

Daddy got some silly sunglasses and Sloane couldn't wait to try them on herself!

Sloane LOVES to play with her Daddy's wallet (and by play with, I mean pull everything out of it)...so Mimi and Grandpa got Sloane her very own wallet to play with...complete with pictures and "credit cards!"
 Helping Mimi cook breakfast!
Taking her new doggie for a walk...thanks Aunt Krisanne and Uncle Gene!

Grandpa surprised us ALL with a very special gift for Sloane...a rocking horse he built himself!  It is so incredibly beautiful and special!  Due to an emergency eye surgery, he was unable to finish in time for Christmas...but it's done now...and its gorgeous!

Pappa and Nonna came over to join in on the fun and have breakfast with everyone!

A tea set from Mommy and Daddy.

Sloane's first blog book...her first year of life bound into a book...this is how Mommy scrapbooks!

 This one is from Santa!
Her very own Micro scooter!! So fun!!

After nap time we all headed over to Pappa and Nonna's for more presents and Christmas dinner!
 More fun stocking stuffers!
Cousins Ben and Erika were there too!

Showing Pappa her cool stuffed turtle and killer whale from her cousins!

Merry Christmas!

Garrison Street

One of Daddy's fond holiday memories is walking Garrison Street in Point Loma to look at the lights and window displays.  We are so lucky to be able to share this same tradition with Sloane each year. Needless to say...she LOVED it!
The wagon was perfect for a stroll down Garrison.

Auntie Liz, Uncle Hugo and Baby Colin came along for the fun!
Sloane loved pointing to all the neat light displays...here she is in front of Santa in a fire truck!
This has always been Daddy's favorite window display....Santa's workshop!

Out of the wagon for a closer look!
Some of the blow-up displays were pretty hilarious!...
 ...and others quite stunning.

What a fun family tradition!

Mimi's Mission Inn Birthday!

Mimi's birthday is December 6th and she's always wanted to see the lights at the Mission Inn.  Knowing that Sloane would love it...we headed up to Riverside for a night of celebration!
Checking out the courtyard lights from the top floor balcony!  Apparently, the Mission Inn uses 4.5 million lights to illuminate the hotel each year!

The Girvans and Pizzicas joined in on the fun! Sloane loved playing with Peyton and Hudson!
 Happy birthday Mimi!

Sloane was fascinated by all of the lights and animatronics...it was almost like being at Disneyland!

 The birthday girl!
We then went out for a walk through downtown Riverside and to see the outside of the hotel.

Uncle Rick, Uncle Aaron and Peyton checking out the ice skaters.

 Real reindeer!

The gorgeously lit entrance to the Inn.

Quick pause for a family photo!
Sloane loved showing off her walking skills on the long hotel hallways.

This was the balcony of our room...complete with courtyard view and animatronic angel!
So much fun!
