Summer Fun!

We have had so much fun with Sloane this summer! She is growing SOOOO fast and I can't believe her first birthday is just around the corner! Yikes!

She is crawling everywhere...pulling herself up...cruising...and walking with help...she is getting so BIG!

She absolutely LOVES swim lessons...she is putting her head under water...holding her breath well and acting like such a big girl! She giggles and kicks when we get to the pool and it is ALL smiles from there!

We went for a swim with Courtney and Lucia...who were in town for a visit...Sloane loved putting her head under the waterfall you see behind her!

She also got to go swimming in the pool at Mimi and Grandpa's condo in Oceanside. So fun! Mommy has many happy memories swimming in this very same pool as a kid!

She gets the biggest smile on her face when she goes into ANY pool! She is a little water bug!

Sloane was fascinated by all the kids swimming around her.

One of her new favorite things to do...pull herself up at our front window and watch the world go by...I wonder where she learned this?

This little lady is a ball of energy, who giggles, screams like a pterodactyl and just brings us so much joy!

Sloane's First 4th!

We returned just in time for some fourth of July fun! We met up with Auntie Liz, Uncle Hugo and others at Liberty Station for a little BBQ fun!

We made it home in time to watch the OB fireworks as a family from our backyard...and Sloane did great staying up WAY past her 7 o'clock bedtime!

What a fun first Fourth!

Tenth Anniversary!

Believe it or not Brian and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary on July 3rd! I can't believe it has been 10 years! Time really does fly. To celebrate...Brian and I took our first trip away from Sloane!! We returned to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (more specifically, Punta Mita) where we got engaged 11 years ago! It was VERY hard being away from Sloane, but we had a good time nonetheless and 4 days was the perfect amount of time...we came home to a smiley, giggly, happy little girl who had lots of fun with her grandparents while Mommy and Daddy were away!

Enjoying an afternoon hammock swing after our arrival...we could see boats out in the distance that we thought were dive boats...but learned later that they were military boats there to protect the president of Mexico and his family, who was staying at our hotel!

We did manage to do a little snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding excursion...which was really fun and it ended up being just the two of us!

We did rent a car and drive in to Puerto Vallarta for a day. We had to revisit the spot on the beach where Brian proposed...and of course, have a celebratory margarita at La Palapa!
