Sloane's First Christmas 2013

Christmas began with Christmas Eve dinner at Mimi and Grandpa's House.

Nonna and Papa came too!

 Falling asleep with Mimi.

Grandpa made Nonna and Papa a beautiful mosaic for their Borrego house.

Here is our  little elf on Christmas morning!

Grandpa made Sloane a mosaic of her name for Christmas!

First Christmas as a family of 3!

All tuckered out from opening presents!

Next...we went over to Nonna and Papa's to celebrate some more and have Christmas dinner.

Spending time with cousins, Erika and Ben.

Pretty tree and LOTS of presents!

 I wonder what's inside?

Another nap was needed after all the excitement!

Merry Christmas!

Garrison Street

For those of you who don't know...Garrison Street is a street in Point Loma that goes above and beyond with their Christmas decorations every year.  We're talking an animatronic Santa's workshop a la Macy's in NYC.  We decided to take Sloane for a stroll down Garrison to further her first Christmas spirit.

Sloane and Daddy in front of Santa's fire truck.

In addition to an obscene amount of lights on their house...every window in these people's homes is decorated in a thematic scene.

 Animatronic Santa's workshop.

 Sooooo many lights!!!

Happy Holidays!

Sloane meets Santa!

No first Christmas is complete without a trip to the mall to meet Santa!

Here is Sloane's first photo with Mr. Claus...

...we love her reaction to the semi-creepy expression Santa is making.

Sloane's First Christmas Tree

Last week we took Sloane along on our annual trip to Home Depot to pick out a Christmas tree.

Sloane enjoyed looking at all the lights and decorations

and did a great job helping us find the perfect tree!

All ready to find the perfect tree...

 That one looks good!

 The search is over...

...Sloane is very excited about our find!

Mimi and Grandpa got their tree too!

 The finished product!

Complete with Sloane's very own snowman to go on our "snowman" themed tree!

First Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we always take part in two traditions...big family meal with Daddy's side of the family and a late dinner with family and friends at Mimi and Grandpa's condo in Oceanside!

Our first Thanksgiving!

Taking a pre-dinner nap with Nonna!

Cousin Ben and Papa carving the Turkey.

Taking another nap...this time with Mimi!

First Trip to the Fire Station

The Day before Thanksgiving Sloane went on her first trip to see Daddy at the fire station!

 She was very excited!

Getting her first official tour of engine 31:

Checking out the view from the rig!

We had a great lasagna dinner with all the Station 31 "C" shifters and their families!
